Moose

The best season for photographing the moose (Alces alces) is early summer and autumn. In the early summer, the moose enjoys the licking stones made of various minerals, mainly salt.

The main season for photographing the moose is, however, September when the cows are in heat. During this period, the bulls look the most gorgeous and attracting them close enough for photography is possible. They are lured by imitating the moose sounds. If you are skilled enough, you can get the moose as close as a few metres away.
