Brown Bear
The observation and photography season of the brown bear (Ursus arctos) usually starts in early April as the bears start waking up from their hibernation, and lasts until October. During the first three or four weeks, the bears can be photographed against a snowy background. Towards the end of May and in early June the female bears are in heat. Bears move the most actively during this period. There's a good chance to photograph coupling and duels at this time.
As the autumn arrives, nature starts preparing for the winter by changing into the breath-taking autumn colours. A bear in this colourful landscape captured on film may be the photo of your life! The first snow falls of the late autumn also set a unique background for bear photos.
